Some people probably think of it as a question of ethics, or conversely share an opinion along the lines of, “rip the system, down with the man, kill your parents and hang the bankers,” perhaps even more likely, they simply don’t like being subjected to advertisements on a medium they already pay for (namely, the internet).
Recently some of you may have been aware that there was a bug with a couple of the advertisements in YouTube’s rotation, and for whatever reason, certain ads would keep videos from actually playing. As the negative effect of this bug was really more down to chance than anything else, people could have simply just reloaded the page, gotten a different ad served to them, and watched the video as if there was no issue. However, more often than not the suggestion I found to fix the issue in comment sections was more along the lines of, “lol u watch adds in 2012?? just block them lol.”
